Starting in 2021 we had been using Jon Corbet's gitdm scripts
to find maintainers missing in action [1]. The scripts analyze
the last 5 years of git history, locate subsystems which
were touched by more than 50 commits, and generate simple
review statistics for each maintainer. We then query the stats
to find maintainers who haven't provided a single tag.
[1] https://lwn.net/Articles/842422/
This series removes folks from Networking who haven't been active
in recent history. This helps shorten the CC lists on patches, and
generally makes MAINTAINERS "reflect reality" more closely.
Moving folks to CREDITS is in no way disparaging their work
as maintainers, we'd be happy to restore them as maintainers
if/when they plan to become active again!

mt7530 is a pretty active driver and last we have heard
from Landen Chao on the list was March. There were total
of 4 message from them in the last 2.5 years.
I think it's time to move to CREDITS.

Johan moved to maintaining the Zephyr Bluetooth stack,
and we haven't heard from him on the ML in 3 years
(according to lore), and seen any tags in git in 4 years.
Trade the MAINTAINER entry for CREDITS, we can revert
whenever Johan comes back to Linux hacking :)

We haven't heard from Ralf for two years, according to lore.
We get a constant stream of "fixes" to ax25 from people using
code analysis tools. Nobody is reviewing those, let's reflect
this reality in MAINTAINERS.

I missed that Dany uses a different email address
when tagging patches (drt@linux.ibm.com)
and asked him if he's still actively working on ibmvnic.
He doesn't really fall under our removal criteria,
but he admitted that he already moved on to other projects.

I'm not arguing that this change isn't appropriate.
But, nit picking the description above,
I do think there has been some git activity within
the last 4 years, albeit from a different email address.
The most recent Bluetooth Drivers patch I found committed by Johan is:
commit 0671c0662383eefc272e107364cba7fe229dee44
Author: Hans de Goede <hdegoede@redhat.com>

Commit: Johan Hedberg <johan.hedberg@intel.com>
CommitDate: Mon Dec 7 17:01:54 2020 +0200
For reference, the most recent patched that I could
find authored by Johan for Bluetooth Drivers is:
commit 6c3711ec64fd23a9abc8aaf59a9429569a6282df
Author: Johan Hedberg <johan.hedberg@intel.com>

I didn't realize this wasn't actively being maintained, but I am
familiar with the code in the AX.25 layer. I use it pretty frequently,
so I would happily look after this if nobody else is interested.

I don't recall how I got on the list, so I don't know where to go to
find the source and bug tracker. Can someone point me to the official
pages?

Unfortunately both lore and the git log show no trace of your activity.
Before stepping-in as a maintainer, you should start providing reviews
on the ML and looking after the not so infrequent syzkaller report.

Indeed, my grepping must have failed me :(
If someone pops up in the top three reviewers at the end of the report
it's fairly easy to catch that they use a different address, but that
wasn't the case here. In any case, here is the report after having
added the correct email alias -- just to confirm that the script itself
is not buggy :)
