"Or" is a sum/union, not intersection.

You set the bits in priv->phylink_config.supported_interfaces.
Russell does:

	priv->phylink_config.supported_interfaces |=
		pcs->supported_interfaces;

If I'm missing the point please repost once Russell's patches 
are merged :)
