Subject: [net-next-2.6 PATCH v7 1/7 RFC] TCPCT part 1a: add request_values parameter for sending SYNACK
Date: Fri, 20 Nov 2009 09:12:13 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4B06A3BD.8090804@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <4B06A1FF.8000202@gmail.com>

[-- Attachment #1: Type: text/plain, Size: 1006 bytes --]

Add optional function parameters associated with sending SYNACK.
These parameters are not needed after sending SYNACK, and are not
used for retransmission. Avoids extending struct tcp_request_sock,
and avoids allocating kernel memory.

Also affects DCCP as it uses common struct request_sock_ops,
but this parameter is currently reserved for future use.
