In this form, this driver is pretty obscure and nobody knows what it's doing; please remember that, by actually providing a definition for those registers and fields, the operation (reliability) of this PHY may be improved and this driver will be actually maintainable (and possibly support more than one variation of this PHY in the future with less efforts).
