Try enabling slab poisoning, I think you'll observe some problems.
Do we absolutely have to have a destructor?
Can't we move the per cpu counter free from
virtnet_free to virtnet_remove, and get rid of
virtnet_free completely?

Device has no way of knowing how the system uses VLAN tags, stripped
or not. Any problems would be driver problems and since you're making
it all use generic code, bugs will hit all drivers simultaneously or
(preferably) won't happen at all.

this is due to that there is no such a kernel function,

I don't know why we have it in a kernel header, so remove it.

Well I just wanted to preserve current behaviour which is that in many
drivers vlan accel is enabled only if some vid is registered upon the
device and it's disabled again when no vid is registered. I can see
no way to do this with current code after removing ndo_vlan_rx_register.
I expect unexpected problems on old cards when vlan accel would be
enabled all the time, but maybe I'm wrong...
One idea is for device which do not support sepatate rx/tx vlan accel
enabling/disabling they can probably use ndo_fix_features force to
enable/disable rx/tx pair together. That would resolve the situation as
well giving user possibility to turn off vlan accel in case of any issues.

68360enet.c no longer exists, and from the research, it appears that
68360enet.c became fec.c back in 2004. The Kconfig and Makefile
references were never cleaned up. This patch removes this "dead"
references.

A small batch of fixes:
1) Fix two regressions in checksum offload handling.
a) Do not set SCTP packets to CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY, we don't
have software fallbacks in the TX path for SCTP checksumming
and therefore won't be able to handle a divert of a packet
from a device that can do SCTP checksums to one that cannot.
b) We propagate certain hardware offloads transparently through
"software" devices (like vlan and bonding) but we cannot do
that when we lack software fallbacks in the TX path and this
is relevant for SCTP and FCoE checksumming. Get rid of the
NETIF_F_ALL_TX_OFFLOADS macro since it's misuse is what
introduced this regression.
2) L2CAP bluetooth connection procedure regression fix from
Gustavo F. Padovan.
3) L2CAP incomming connections can crash with defer_setup enabled
because ->parent isn't setup yet, handle that properly. Also
from Gustavo.
4) gianfar driver need to be more selective of when the RX parser
of the chip is enabled, from Sebastian Poehn.
5) r6040 NAPI logic has a bug that can disabled interrupts forever,
fix from Michael Thalmeier.

Please describe the possible regression. As I see it, there won't be
any user visible change of behaviour - network code takes care of
reinserting VLAN tag when necessary. If you think that disabling tag
stripping is beneficial for cases where no VLANs are configured, it's
better to do that in netdev_fix_features() for devices which advertise
NETIF_F_HW_VLAN_RX in hw_features.
