The first netlink attribute (value 0) must always be defined as none/unspec.
This is correctly done in inet_diag.h, but other diag interfaces are wrong.
Because we cannot change an existing API, I add a comment to point the mistake
and avoid to propagate it in a new diag API in the future.

* [patch net/stable] team: fix master carrier set when user linkup is enabled

When user linkup is enabled and user sets linkup of individual port,
we need to recompute linkup (carrier) of master interface so the change
is reflected. Fix this by calling __team_carrier_check() which does the
needed work.

First of all, thanks for the notification Nicolas. I'll fix libnl to
pass through these attributes.
I think the fix you propose is no an option as it breaks backwards
compatiblity with existing user space. We cannot change the value
of existing attributes.

Hi All,
This patch series fixes, Chelsio T5 adapter initialization failure due to
incorrect firmware version check. This patch series modifies the firmware
flashing mechanism for T4/T5 adapter. It adds a new module parameter
t4_fw_install to control firmware flashing.
The patch series moves chip type from struct adapter to struct adapter_params.
It changes the references of chip type in cxgb4 and cxgb4vf drivers such that
build failure is avoided.
Patch 3/3 is dependent on patch 1/3
Patch 2/3 is also dependent on patch 1/3
We would like to request this patch series to get merged via David Miller's
'net' tree.
We have included all the maintainers of respective drivers. Kindly review the
change and let us know in case of any review comments.

The first netlink attribute (value 0) must always be defined as none/unspec.
This is correctly done in inet_diag.h, but other diag interfaces are broken.
Libraries like libnl skip this kind of attributes, thus it's never reported to
the application.

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
This is because the macro operations in smc91x.h defined
for Versatile are missing SMC_outsw() as used in this
commit.
The Versatile needs and uses the same accessors as the other
platforms in the first if(...) clause, just switch it to using
that and we have one problem less to worry about.
This includes a hunk of a patch from Will Deacon fixin
the other 32bit platforms as well: Innokom, Ramses, PXA,
PCM027.
Checkpatch complains about spacing, but I have opted to
follow the style of this .h-file.

The code to detect fragments in checksum_setup() was missing for IPv4 and
too eager for IPv6. (It transpires that Windows seems to send IPv6 packets
with a fragment header even if they are not a fragment - i.e. offset is zero,
and M bit is not set).

and free are separated. However in the backported verion reference
counting code was not correctly modified, and the reset of vif->tx_irq
was lost. If frontend goes through vif life cycle more than once the
reference counting is skewed.
This patch adds back the missing tx_irq reset line. It also moves
several lines of the reference counting code to vif_free, so the moved
code corresponds to the counterpart in vif_alloc, thus the reference
counting is balanced.
3.12 and onward versions are not affected by this bug, because reference
counting code was removed due to the introduction of 1:1 model.
This pacth should be backported to all stable verions which are lower
than 3.12 and have 279f438e36.

I found the NULL place int the neigh_timer_handler, the neigh->ops is NULL,
so the calling of neigh->ops->solicit(neigh, skb) will panic, I found the
neigh has been freed via the kdump, the so I think the neigh was kfreed while
the neigh timer handler is running.
The situation is that there are several server in the local lan:
A: 128.5.10.83
B: 128.5.10.85
C: 128.5.10.xx
I panic the A by manual, and set B's IP to 128.5.10.83, so send broadcast to tell
the lan that B is 128.5.10.83, then the B panic, it is hard to appeared again, so
I only met once.

So I think the latest kernel still has the problem.
The timer handler must be finished before kfree the neigh in SMP,
but the del_timer could only detach the timer, not sure the timer
is finished, so I use the del_timer_sync() to make sure the handler
has finished before kfree the neighour.

* [PATCH] net: introduce SO_BPF_EXTENSIONS

userspace packet capturing libraries (e.g. libpcap) don't have a way how to find
out which BPF extensions are supported by the kernel, except compiling a filter
which uses extensions and trying to apply filter to the socket. This is very
inconvenient.
Therefore this commit introduces new option which can be used as an argument for
getsockopt() and allows one to obtain information about which BPF extensions are
supported by the kernel.

receive mergeable now handles errors internally.
Do same for big and small packet paths, otherwise

Eric Dumazet noticed that if we encounter an error
when processing a mergeable buffer, we don't
dequeue all of the buffers from this packet,
the result is almost sure to be loss of networking.
Jason Wang noticed that we also leak a page and that we don't decrement
the rq buf count, so we won't repost buffers (a resource leak).
Fix both issues.

I am aware of NET_IP_ALIGN. The pointers I mentioned in the log were
from a printk() shortly before that bug triggered. So I am not making
this up :) I am not aware of the load that triggered this.
Anyway, adding this
WARN_ON(!((unsigned long)skb->data & 0xf));
in my e1000 on v3.12 triggers shortly after boot and according to the
backtrace it comes aoe. So that is at least one user :)
Since that aligment is for IP, I am not sure if non-IP based protocol
are using this. I know however that the workload, that triggered the
problem, is not IP-based.
