Better, like this:

This should be:

        if (period > rates_xlate[i].mult ||
            rates_xlate[i].mult/period < rates_xlate[i].mult % period)
                                                            ^ ^
                                        mind the space between modulus.

Operands (like ||) should be placed at the end of the line.
