Kernel log

Environment:
 - Linux kernel 4.5.4
 - Desktop environment: Gnome 3.20.2
 - Xorg 1.18.3
 - Graphics card: NVIDIA Corporation GK107GLM [Quadro K1000M] (rev a1)

Nouveau makes Xorg unresponsive after resuming from suspend to RAM. Restart=
ing
Xorg did not help, but a reboot.

Error messages look like:
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: fifo: read fault at 0000dc8000 engine 15 [CE0] client=
 01
[CE0] reason 02 [PTE] on channel 0 [007fd56000 DRM]
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: fifo: ce0 engine fault on channel 0, recovering...

It must be a regression, because the issue did not happen with the same
hardware on kernel 4.4.x.

Comment= # 1 on bug 95520<= /a> from Jack Massey
I am also having this issue.

  - Desktop encironment: Gnome 3.18.4
  - Xorg 1.18.3
  - Graphics card: NVIDIA Corporation GF119 [NVS 310]

I get a very similar crash error:

Note that this crash happened immediately after unlocking the screen *not* =
when
waking from sleep, and I am using a 4.4.x Ubuntu kernel.

This issue started happening after I upgraded my Monitors on Friday. I went
from 3x1080p to 2x1440p. Is it possible that the number of pixels / type of
monitor has an effect?

--- Comment #3 from mail-freedesktopbugs-wK5Yy4/IbwG+onKQ3Rj6Dg@public.gmane.org ---
I'm having a similar situation like G=C3=A9za B=C3=BAz, the two external Di=
splayPort
connected Displays get a signal, but only the frozen cursor on black backgr=
ound
is visible. No further interaction is possible, no shell switching,
ctrl-alt-delete etc. Unfortunately, this is not reproducible every time I
suspend the system.
On reboot, the system hangs in a state after kernel selection/grub, where t=
he
fan runs high but no output is shown on any screen, the system is frozen.
Only after several reboot attempts (~3) the boot runs normally again.

(a recent memtest did not report errors)

Comment= # 3 on bug 95520<= /a> from mail-freedesktopbugs@juliankessel.de
I'm having a similar situation like G=C3=A9za B=C3=BAz, the tw=
o external DisplayPort
connected Displays get a signal, but only the frozen cursor on black backgr=
ound

Environment:
 - Linux kernel 4.4.46
 - Desktop environment: KDE Plasma 5.8.3
 - Xorg 1.18.3
