Agreed, however, this will most likely be required only for certain platforms 
at the driver level rather than a high-level API exposed by oFono.  For proper 
high-level access you will have to use another framework.  For instance, in 
Moblin what you want will be accomplished with the help of AudioManager:

Again, I don't disagree.  But oFono does not aim to provide a proper high-
level API for this.  It belongs to framework(s) dedicated specifically to 
sensors & GPS information.  Where makes sense and can be generalized (e.g. GPS 
information) oFono will provide integration points for such frameworks.
