We could just do:

SSTATE_SCAN_CMD ?= 'find ${SSTATE_BUILDDIR} \( -name "${@"\" -o -name \"".join(d.getVar("SSTATE_SCAN_FILES", True).split())}" \) -type f'

which would save some of the anonymous python overhead and the temporary
variable.
