Subject: [meta][PATCH 04/07] linux-yocto/6.18: libpf prepare for new glibc
Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2026 10:23:49 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20260106152352.932717-5-bruce.ashfield@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20260106152352.932717-1-bruce.ashfield@gmail.com>

From: Bruce Ashfield <bruce.ashfield@gmail.com>

Integrating the following commit(s) to linux-yocto/6.18:

1/1 [
    Author: Mikhail Gavrilov
    Email: mikhail.v.gavrilov@gmail.com
Subject: libbpf: Fix -Wdiscarded-qualifiers under C23
    Date: Sat, 6 Dec 2025 14:28:25 +0500

glibc ≥ 2.42 (GCC 15) defaults to -std=gnu23, which promotes
    -Wdiscarded-qualifiers to an error.

In C23, strstr() and strchr() return "const char *".

Change variable types to const char * where the pointers are never
    modified (res, sym_sfx, next_path).
