Sorry, libepoxy is also required:

configure:32059: checking for XWAYLANDMODULES
configure:32066: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "wayland-client >= 1.3.0 
libdrm epoxy"
Package epoxy was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `epoxy.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
