Under gnome, gnome-terminal is virtually without alternative ... so for me. it is the only terminal that has a plugin for nautilus and I want 'open in terminal' to work in nautilus

'foot' is also a really cool terminal. Its fast and does a lot of things just right in my opinion. But its Wayland only and doesn't integrate well into Gnome. Instead it is great under wlroots.
