Subject: confused by task flags in base.bbclass
Date: Thu, 22 Oct 2015 18:29:21 -0400 (EDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <alpine.LFD.2.20.1510221827430.4620@localhost> (raw)
confused ...
addtask install after do_compile
do_install[dirs] = "${D} ${B}"
# Remove and re-create ${D} so that is it guaranteed to be empty
do_install[cleandirs] = "${D}"
what is the purpose of having "${D}" in both the first and second
line? i thought the "cleandirs" task flag would *already* guarantee
that D would exist and would be empty. so why does it need to be
referred to in both lines?
