This vlc.inc diff lets VLC build correctly for me:

-    sed -i -e s:'${top_builddir_slash}libtool':${TARGET_SYS}-libtool:g
${B}/doltlibtool
+    sed -i -e
s:'${top_builddir_slash}libtool':'${top_builddir_slash}'${TARGET_SYS}-libtool:g
${B}/doltlibtool
