The better question is "Why doesn't OE shlib code pickup that
dependency?" :)

Regardless of that, RDEPENDS = "foo" is bad, RDEPENDS_${PN} = "foo" is
better. Chris created the recipe sanity stuff to check for these kinds
of things.
