I'm seeing the same error message. Some people have booted XP without this error so it might be due to different settings. How about an informal poll to find the common settings that lead to this problem? The 0x800703e6 also occurs in Safe Mode With Networking although it boots in Safe Mode, as you say. I'm using TUN networking. What are XP successful people using for networking options? I've tried a 2G and 5G disk image (dd seek=2G bs=1 count=0). I've tried -m64 and -m128 for the QEMU memory option. I'm on a PowerPC platform. Latest CVS built with GCC 3.3.3. This is Windows XP Professional Build 2600.
