I'd also like to have a "device interface" to be able to create and use
a new console, mainly for BIOS output and debug without having to use a
serial port or qemu monitor.

Sounds great only if the whole configuration can be overriden using the
command line. It's a real pain having to edit config files everytime you
need to change a parameter for testing...
But why mypc ? my_hw is more appropriate :-))
