Hi,

With the patches I just commited the x86_64 target should be much more
usable. Moreover, QEMU should now compile correctly on x86_64 hosts.

I also added a test program called 'test-x86_64' to test most of the
x86_64 opcodes.

Fabrice.

Hi guys,

In my rather naive way, I have thrown together a wrapper for FreeBSD.

It compiles and loads, but when I attempt to use it, qemu reports:

> Error -1 while initializing QEMU acceleration layer - disabling it for now

And the kernel module reports:

> kqemu: Error: invalid cr3 (0xffffffff)

So here I am wondering if theres any way that us FreeBSD users can enjoy
the KQEMU goodness that Linux users are enjoying?

Hi,

I'd just like to report that QEMU does now compile on my AMD64
machine, and the i386-softmmu target does run. I can't complete an
install of Windows 2000 however, I get BSODs
(PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) during the second stage of the install.
I don't know if this is a specific problem with QEMU or QEMU on x86_64
however.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Andrew Wilkinson

For what it's worth, I managed to get Win2000 installed using a PIII machine.
(I did have to fiddle with -hdachs - Win2000 refused to use a 2Gb disc with
1023,64,63 setting as autodetected by QEMU, but was quite happy with 4092,16,63.)

Definitely!
