While I don't know exactly why it bothers kqemu, it really helps running
with kvm. The reason is that the config options takes care that the qemu
alarm clock (that all qemu timers) will run with minimal jitter.
Another option is to use -clock=rtc or -clock=hpet that will do the same
effect.
