This patches have been on the list for a while:
- ram flags from Peter Lieven
- qemu-file cleanups from Eduardo (just code movement)
- QEMUSizedBuffer from David (they have already have 6 versions)
- VBUFFER (new macro, can't break old things) (Alexey)
- invalidate state (Alexey)
