Just register hda before cdrom, it should work fine. I already had this
problem but never reported it to Fabrice nor I did anything to fix it
(shame on me...).
If it persits, this means the CDROM isn't bootable.

but : qemu -cdrom /dev/cdrom -hda mon_disque.img -boot d
always crash, with the message :
"warning: could not open /dev/net/tun: no virtual network emulation
BIOS panic at rombios.c, line 1558"

where can I get more detailed logs ?
I'm using Mandrake 10, kernel 2.6.3-4.

I got the same message when I tried to boot off an MS Windows 95 bochs hd 
image, and likewise with an MS Windows NT 4.0 bochs hd image.

Any ideas?

Are you really sure your images are OK for boot ?
try from a CD :
qemu   -cdrom /dev/cdrom -boot d

tell us...

I wrote :
qemu    -hda hdqemu.img  -fd0 dos.img  -cdrom /dev/cdrom -boot a
instead of :
qemu    -hda hdqemu.img  -fda dos.img  -cdrom /dev/cdrom -boot a

I'm booting now from the iso image of rsbac-linux.

qemu -cdrom rsbaclive-[etc] -m 64 -boot d

It seems to be working satisfactorily so far.
