Subject: [Qemu-devel] conflict between Cirrus and second hard disk
Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2004 21:26:40 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200406302126.40443.bobb@absamail.co.za> (raw)
Using CVS 20040630 qemu, Gentoo x86 Linux host, vanilla 2.6.7 kernel:
Running w98se session with -m 128, -hda 500MB, -hdb 1GB, and VGA
works fine (at 640x480x16 color). Adding -cirrus turns on the cirrus driver,
but it cannot be activated; driver installs, but system details show it cannot
find free IO resources.
Running w98se session with -m 128, -hda 500MB, and Cirrus works fine,
but when a second hard disk (-hdb) is added, it is not recognized by w98.
There seems to be a conflict between Cirrus and hdb resources.
APM always shows a fault. Can it be disabled by the monitor?
Thanks,
Bob Barry
