[Qemu-devel] Sound in win98

Dear all,

In case anyone finds it helpful, I have put a copy of
malc's 6_aqemu,patch.gz which patches cleanly against
qemu 0.6 at http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~rgrint/audio-patch

Anyone have sb working under win98? I've tried to attack this from every angle 
but the result is always a broken sound blaster.

Qemu monitor output remains constant as well...
(qemu) sb16: empty output buffer
sb16: empty output buffer
sb16: 0xfa is unknown.

Using command line: qemu  -hda hd.img -enable-audio
Adding -pci doesn't help either.

I've had no problems on win95 or winxp, but 98 seems to be futile. Any 
suggestions appreciated.

It would not work with some of integrated audio cards though (patch is
trivial but ill postpone it till 7_aqemu)

Thanks, but that's broke, sound goes into infinite loop on win95 (sb16: 
unrecognized command 0x83) and win98 setup seg faults after scandisk.
Sound card is true sb-live and patch command=  patch -p1 < 6_aqemu.patch  > 
patch.log 2>&1

Something I did wrong?

Infinite loop is something to be expected(and fixed in working version),
segfaults and unrecognized 0x83 are news to me. And no you did nothing
wrong. Guess you will have to wait some till next patch.
