hello,
i have qemu 0.6.6 and i want to emulate installation of Mandrake 10.0
Official.
I put cd into cdrom drive,
i create at my desktop dysk.img file (dd of=dysk.img...) - i do it to
prepare place where qemu should install mdk
at console i make:
su
qemu -cdrom /mnt/cdrom/images/boot.iso -hda
/home/konrad/Desktop/dysk.img -boot d
OK, installation start. At first screen i push Enter and choose option
"CDROM install".
After few seconds i see command "Trying to acces CDROM (QEMU CDROM)" (or
something like that) and after this i see:
"That CDROM disk does not seem to be a Mandrake Linux Instalation CDROM.
Retry with another disk? Yes/No/Back".
But i`m sure that it is instalation disk. What should i do?

Had the same problem with MDK10 doing a normal install. For some strange
reason booting with CD2 and choosing cdrom-install then replacing CD2 with
CD1 when prompted made things work.

This is a known bug of Mandrake 10 and is not related with qemu.
I saw a lot of thread about this issue on french newsgroup those
days....

OK, I have cd2, and only bootable image which i see is
/mnt/cdrom/Boot/cdrom-changedisk.img. So i type:
qemu -cdrom /mnt/cdrom/Boot/cdrom-changedisk.img -hda
/home/konrad/Desktop/dysk.img -boot d
and i see this screen:
http://vivamozilla.civ.pl/rozne/qemu-boot-failure.png
I have to add that i see thesame error with other images from first CD
od MDK1. Only boot.iso from CD1 works (starts).
What to do?
