That completely different, really ? QEMU uses the *same* (even if extended to emulate a Cirrus Logic 5446 PCI card) vga Bios as Bochs and Plex86 do (and did before). Including the VESA extentions once written for Bochs. QEMU 0.6.0 can use (automatically detects) fd/hdd images actually created for Bochs by Bochs project's 'bximage' program.
