Dear all,
I wanted to install fedora core 3 on Qemu, quite speedy b.t.w., but
couldn't switch from cd1 of the installer to 2 or 3.
I simply don't know how to do this and the "user guide"did not shed
much light on the matter.
I have however read about the "Qemu monitor"?
But I'm running Windows XP as a host and I believe that the monitor is
only Linux.
I'm problably yust missing it but if anyone can help :).
Thnx.
B.t.w. I've tested Qemu with Knoppix 3.7 and it works fine, DSL as wel.
I've also tested Bochs 2.1.1 with Win98 wich worked fine too, except
for the fact that I only got a 16 colour screen :(, (problably my
fault dough :) ).

I don't know the answer to your question about switching CDs, but
FWIW, I did an "Everything" install from the Fedora 3 x86 DVD,
running QEMU on my x86-64 box, and it worked nicely. [I use it
as a pure 32-bit build environment on my x86-64 box.]
If you don't have the DVD image handy, you might consider using
boot.iso, and doing a (virtual) hard disk or NFS install.
Regards,
Bill Rugolsky

What I did (for installing Solaris 9 x86, running QEMU in Linux), was at the
point of changing discs, do CTRL-ALT-2, type 'eject cdrom', change the discs,
then do 'change cdrom /dev/scd1'
Of course, replace /dev/scd1 with the actual location of your CD-ROM drive.
Then, press CTRL-ALT-1 to get back to the installation screen.
