Hi,

There is a version on http://www.h7.dion.ne.jp/~qemu-win/ 
<http://www.h7.dion.ne.jp/%7Eqemu-win/> supporting a tap device on a 
windows xp host system. Having had some problems with it - mainly only 
traffic going out, never in  - I'm looking for a more current version 
with said tap support.
[Just for information: I tried to run linux guest and got "NETDEV 
WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out" and "eth0: Tx timed out, lost 
interrupt? TSR=0x1, ISR=0x3, t=369" in syslog. I used RTL-8029 driver.]
I have checked out http://www.freeoszoo.org/ftp/qemu/win32/daily/ as 
well as http://www.freeoszoo.org/ftp/qemu/win32/release/.

So I'd like to ask
1) if somebody has a binary windows version with tap support,
2) if tap support could be included by default in windows versions of 
qemu (probably as described in 
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2005-04/msg00421.html)

I believe that was the latest binary version.

In theory. However, that particular patch will not be included because it is
under the GPL license and Fabrice wants to keep the code for qemu system
emulation under the BSD license.
