[Qemu-devel] workshop virtualization technologies in Essen/Germany

Hi altogether,
This will mostly be interesting for people from Germany and surrounding
countries, but you're welcome wherever you come from!
This is not a commercial offer, but intended to be a user/developer
meeting.

As my interest in Qemu, Xen and other virtualization technologies is quite
high, and a lot of stuff is happening in this area, Ingo Wichmann from
the Linuxhotel in Essen, Germany and myself teamed up to organize a
workshop about this topic.

The workshop will take place from 7th to 9th of march this year.

This workshop is dedicated to people who are working with these
technologies, and developers of free software in that area. If you are
interested to meet others to share experiences, work on a small project
or tinker on some thing you otherwise wouldn't come to, feel invited to
come to the Linuxhotel in Essen and join us.
 
We'll not prepare something like a guided program - we expect the
participants to actively come up with own ideas. We will also not
provide lessons in Unix/Linux basics in this workshops, Linux experience
and at least some experiences with virtualization are prerequisites.

very interesting! Sadly, I live too far from German (I am from 
Indonesian).

BTW, I'd like to read somekind of daily report of this workshop. I also 
appreciate if anyone who comes up with his/her paper also post the 
paper to a website (qemu.dad-answers.com maybe?).

Last, how about doing live IRC session during the workshop? We can use 
#qemu channel on irc.freenode.net or #virtualization channel on 
irc.oftc.net. IMHO, that will make more people interested to "join" 
even though we are far apart.

We'll see if we produce such papers. But the general idea is less about
writing papers and presentations, but working on and getting into the
different technology implementations.
As with the previous workshop there (which was about automatic
installation) there will be a small timeslot for people interested in
presenting their results at the end. If there will be something to
publish, we'll put it in the Workshop's wiki.

I am very sorry, I got the date wrong!

It's really april 7-9, as written on the website!
