Hi,

does qemu support the PXE boot menu? I have such a server here in my
network but qemu keeps loading some default system (the first one?)
instead of presenting me with the pxe menu.

QEMU just uses etherboot.  Are you sure that you are using bridging and 
connected appropriately?

Yes, because the virtual machine gets an IP from my external network's
dhcp server. Anyway, I tried with a standalone etherboot client and it
didn't work either, so I think it's etherboot's fault.

I revisited this and finally got it working. I needed to set the strict
pxe option when generating the rom image.
