Running rhel5 (x86_64) in qemu (svn head) with kqemu makes qemu exit

Unsupported return value: 0xffffffff
This is in early userspace boot ("Starting udev"), probably while
loading kernel modules and running assorted scripts. Without the kqemu
module it runs fine.
ideas anyone?
