For one thing, networking support for Solaris/x86 as a guest broke a few weeks ago.

I have qemu on two hosts. On one host I have it on, on the other I
don't. It makes no difference,
I see the same problem with the guest on both hosts.

I meant any x86 guest on Sparc host, the problems I was talking about
are in the low level Sparc TCG host support.
You probably mean Solaris/x86 guest on x86 host so your problems are
related to generic networking or x86 device emulation.
