Hi,
could you please run "git update-server-info" on the server
and enable the hooks? At least seabios.git and vgabios.git
cannot be accessed via http://.
And the cgit does not show any tags for all repositories on
http://git.qemu.org/

It's the post-update hook that needs chmod +x, I believe.

Sure. I'd prefer people didn't use http because it's pretty inefficient
but I understand it's the only option for people being proxies.

I've updated tags for seabios and vgabios. For mirrored repositories
like qemu.git, I've updated the script to mirror tags so once the cron
job runs, it should be updated.

In recent versions Git as a so-called "Smart HTTP" protocol which is much more efficient. However it requires both the new server and new clients.
