No, I haven't tried. Actually, the need to build QEMU made me using 
MinGW for the very first time. I thought the mingw-w64 is still 
experimental or not production ready.

You mean mingw-w64 team, right?

I think the problem I reported here is not really MinGW related,
but to QEMU build configuration.
