Actually "sz=C3=BCnet" is a great suggestion. No idea why I didn't think = of it! "Sz=C3=BCnet" is a noun, but if you want to cause something to pause,= you could say "sz=C3=BCneteltet". Either "sz=C3=BCnet" (pause, noun) or "sz=C3=BCneteltet" (approx. to paus= e sth, verb) is good IMHO. "Sz=C3=BCnetel" is also good for "it is making pause" (ie. it's paused).
