Subject: [Qemu-devel] Problem with qemu . . . bug id 1320030
Date: Wed, 21 May 2014 15:57:29 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <537D1339.8000408@tpcsvc.com> (raw)

Folks -
I have been having a problem getting a usable qemu-2.0.0 (or 1.7.1, or
current GIT for that matter) build under slackware 14.1. For some
reason, the inter-thread communication hangs when built on this OS
distro, and display hangs in virt-manager as well as the gtk display in
qemu, making things a bit crude in use. I have updated numerous
libraries trying to find what is the difference (building 1.7.1 on an
older slackware (12-ish?) box works . . . The problem and an strace of
the hang is in the bug report (1320030), so if someone could take a
look, and see if anything jumps to mind, it would be appreciated, or if
there is an associated library that might be buggy, please advice and I
can update/downgrade to test as necessary. I am trying to use qemu for
my work, and while I can start all the emulators from the CLI and run
successfully, and bit more "elegant" means of control and interface
would be nice . . .

Thanks,

- Tim
