It is still there in aio_poll():

    ret = qemu_poll_ns((GPollFD *)ctx->pollfds->data,
                         ctx->pollfds->len,
                         blocking ? aio_compute_timeout(ctx) : 0);

where aio_compute_timeout will usually return -1.
