Have fun. This seems a bit of an overreaction. If you mean deliberate as in "stepping on someone else's toes", that was not it. If you mean deliberate as in "disagreeing on whether identifiers contribute to maintainance areas for such a trivial patch", and applying this patch because I truly believe(d) you wouldn't care, then it was.
