I got the following errors:
Loading dm-mirror.ko module
Loading dm-zero.ko module
Loading dm-snapshot.ko module
Making device-mapper control node
Scanning logical volumes
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
No volume groups found
Activating logical volumes
Volume group "clairevg" not found
Creating root device.
Mounting root filesystem.
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'
Setting up other filesystems.

My command line is:
qemu -hda disk.img -kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-rc3 -append
"root=/dev/sda5/" -initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.26-rc3.img
My distros is FC7. Filesystem:

tmpfs 1037312 22932 1014380 3% /dev/shm
Can I know what is the problem? The "clairevg' volume group in the
error message above arises from the present environment where I run
the qemu (0.9.1):
/mnt/hd1/download/qemu>vgscan
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...

Hi...
maybe your "root=' needs to point to the LVM volume instead of real
partition. ANd just make sure your kernel already included LVM
support...be it LVM version 1 or 2.
regards,
Mulyadi.

Thanks for the reply. As shown in "df", the root is not at the vg
level, as vg is just for storing a different set of data.
But I did try anyway. Let me try again...
Thanks Mulyadi..
