Subject: [Qemu-devel] Build error - target i386-linux-user on RHEL4.8 x86_64
Date: Tue, 24 Aug 2010 20:48:01 +0530	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <AANLkTin13XB5iQpef+Wv1vK_OXVJ9+8EqHAJiraLs48r@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

Hi,
I tried to build qemu's user mode linux emulation on RHEL 4.8 x86_64 -
but I run into this issue -
  AR i386-linux-user/libqemu.a
  LINK i386-linux-user/qemu-i386
/usr/bin/ld:/home/ckk/lab/qemu-0.12.5/x86_64.ld:41: syntax error
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [qemu-i386] Error 1
make: *** [subdir-i386-linux-user] Error 2
[ckk@windowher-dr qemu-0.12.5]$

This was from qemu-0.12.5.

I am however, able to build qemu-0.11.1 correctly.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with the build error.
