I thought image was built in default storage dir: /var/lib/docker # docker system info | fgrep / Docker Root Dir: /var/lib/docker The default might be distrib dependent, my workstation is on Fedora. Maybe while building a tmpfs is mount as /tmp within the temp container,=20 and your ram is limited so it gets full while downloading packages to=20 install? Sincerely I have no clue.
