OK, first data point: Setting CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE_NEVER=y causes the backtrace during
boot to disappear with CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=y. However, it still disappears later when
running "apt update && apt -y upgrade" again:
