Subject: Patch "kconfig: Fix warning "‘jump" has been added to the 3.10-stable tree
Date: Sun, 26 Apr 2015 12:08:18 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <14300428982052@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
=?UTF-8?q?kconfig:=20Fix=20warning=20"=E2=80=98jump?=
to the 3.10-stable tree which can be found at:
http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary
The filename of the patch is:
utf-8-q-kconfig-20fix-20warning-20-e2-80-98jump.patch
and it can be found in the queue-3.10 subdirectory.
If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree,
please let <stable@vger.kernel.org> know about it.

commit 2d560306096739e2251329ab5c16059311a151b0 upstream.
Warning:
In file included from scripts/kconfig/zconf.tab.c:2537:0:
scripts/kconfig/menu.c: In function ‘get_symbol_str’:
scripts/kconfig/menu.c:590:18: warning: ‘jump’ may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wmaybe-uninitialized]
jump->offset = strlen(r->s);
Simplifies the test logic because (head && local) means (jump != 0)
and makes GCC happy when checking if the jump pointer was initialized.
