Subject: patch "USB: option: fix Cinterion AHxx enumeration" added to usb-linus
Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2016 08:33:15 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1453998795736@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
USB: option: fix Cinterion AHxx enumeration
to my usb git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git
in the usb-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: USB: option: fix Cinterion AHxx enumeration
In certain kernel configurations where the cdc_ether and option drivers
are compiled as modules there can occur a race condition in enumeration.
This causes the option driver to enumerate the ethernet(wwan) interface
as usb-serial interfaces.
