Subject: patch "USB: serial: cp210x: fix hardware flow-control disable" added to usb-next
Date: Sat, 14 May 2016 11:26:21 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <14632179815448@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
USB: serial: cp210x: fix hardware flow-control disable
to my usb git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git
in the usb-next branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release
during the merge window.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: USB: serial: cp210x: fix hardware flow-control disable
A bug in the CRTSCTS handling caused RTS to alternate between
CRTSCTS=0 => "RTS is transmit active signal" and
CRTSCTS=1 => "RTS is used for receive flow control"
instead of
CRTSCTS=0 => "RTS is statically active" and
CRTSCTS=1 => "RTS is used for receive flow control"
This only happened after first having enabled CRTSCTS.
