The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. In function extcon_sync(), it returns 0 if the call to get_zeroed_page() fails. The return value 0 indicates success in the context, which is incosistent with the execution status. This patch fixes the bug by returning -ENOMEM.
