Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2017 17:23:59 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <14927018391100@kroah.com> (raw)

This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

USB: serial: ftdi_sio: add device ID for Microsemi/Arrow SF2PLUS Dev

to my usb git tree which can be found at
    git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git
in the usb-next branch.

The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)

The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release
during the merge window.

If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: USB: serial: ftdi_sio: add device ID for Microsemi/Arrow SF2PLUS Dev
 Kit

This development kit has an FT4232 on it with a custom USB VID/PID.
The FT4232 provides four UARTs, but only two are used. The UART 0
is used by the FlashPro5 programmer and UART 2 is connected to the
SmartFusion2 CortexM3 SoC UART port.

Note that the USB VID is registered to Actel according to Linux USB
VID database, but that was acquired by Microsemi.
