Subject: Patch "powerpc/perf: Handle sdar_mode for marked event in power9" has been added to the 4.10-stable tree
Date: Tue, 09 May 2017 11:20:42 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1494321642116104@kroah.com> (raw)

This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

powerpc/perf: Handle sdar_mode for marked event in power9

to the 4.10-stable tree which can be found at:
    http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary

The filename of the patch is:
     powerpc-perf-handle-sdar_mode-for-marked-event-in-power9.patch
and it can be found in the queue-4.10 subdirectory.

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree,
please let <stable@vger.kernel.org> know about it.

Subject: powerpc/perf: Handle sdar_mode for marked event in power9

From: Madhavan Srinivasan <maddy@linux.vnet.ibm.com>

commit 78b4416aa249365dd3c1b64da4d3a232014320b0 upstream.

MMCRA[SDAR_MODE] specifices how the SDAR should be updated in
continous sampling mode. On P9 it must be set to 0b00 when
MMCRA[63] is set.
