I fail to see how this patch meets the stable kernel rules as found at Documentation/process/stable-kernel-rules.rst. I could be totally wrong, and if so, please respond to and let me know why this patch should be applied. Otherwise, it is now dropped from my patch queues, never to be seen again. thanks, greg k-h ------------------ original commit in Linus's tree ------------------ >>From 23f1b8d938c861ee0bbb786162f7ce0685f722ec Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: =?UTF-8?q?Marc-Andr=C3=A9=20Lureau?= Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2017 10:55:15 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] fw_cfg: fix driver remove MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit On driver remove(), all objects created during probe() should be removed, but sysfs qemu_fw_cfg/rev file was left.
