Patch "x86/boot/64: Verify alignment of the LOAD segment" has been added to the 4.9-stable tree

This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled

    x86/boot/64: Verify alignment of the LOAD segment

to the 4.9-stable tree which can be found at:

The filename of the patch is:

Since the x86-64 kernel must be aligned to 2MB, refuse to boot the
kernel if the alignment of the LOAD segment isn't a multiple of 2MB.
